Life

Heidi attended pre-school and elementary school in Garden Grove, CA.
She graduated from Pacifica High School in 2000 with high honors as well as achievements and acknowledgements in the French Club, Mock Trial, Varsity Softball, and the Academic Triathlon.

As a high school athlete, she excelled as a varsity pitcher and even tried her luck in basketball and volleyball. She was a home run hitter and a double threat as she represented both the city of Los Alamitos and Garden Grove in League All-Star tournaments and games.

After high school she attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where she was a resident attendant at Stevenson College for two years. After transferring, Heidi graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology.   Heidi was eager to explore the world and completed her undergraduate degree at La Universidad de Costa Rica in 2005.

With her undergraduate degree complete, Heidi took time to travel and backpack through the many countries and regions of Central America. Heidi traveled with an open heart and spread her warmth to all making many friends and forming lasting bonds.

In her first year of Law School at the University of San Diego, Heidi rose to the challenge and planned to use her law degree to help people and change the many injustices she saw in the world.  She enjoyed living in her own apartment and spending time with close friends and loved ones. Heidi had a great heart and was an active member of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), a vigorous feminist and a MAJOR Dodger fan!
